The Story of Advantage Hockey

Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in athlete development, our dedication lies in consistently exceeding our clients’ expectations.

Jeff Eaton starts operations in British Columbia.

In 1997, Jeff created an initial company to fill a critical need in the industry: helping players reach an elite level while prioritizing both their well-being and long-term success. His new approach started a movement that set him apart in a traditional laden industry.

In 2007, Jeff pivoted his brand recognition to become known as — Advantage Hockey. The name change better highlighted the philosophy instilled by Jeff and his involvement in addressing industry change.

Traditional approach often focuses solely on on-ice performance, neglecting the comprehensive support players need to truly thrive. We wanted to showcase that our company’s expertise fills this gap for players and their families, by advising with specific skill sets needed to reach and contend at an elite level.

Places its’ first player to a NCAA University.

This was a huge successful milestone and new stepping stone for Advantage Hockey as a boutique advisory group and a testament to our player-first approach.

“It’s not just about getting players to the next level; it’s about making sure they are set up for success both on and off the ice.” — Jeff Eaton

This first placement was a clear example of our commitment to our athletes and their long-term success. It was a big step forward in our mission.

Advantage advises a select group of elite PWHL players.

With the establishment of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), we have congruently expanded our outreach to include professional athletes competing at the pinnacle of the sport.

We will continue our communications with the PWHL to ensure our players are professionally advised on what it takes to become high-caliber athletes.

From the outset, Jeff and the team at Advantage Hockey took the time to understand our daughter’s aspirations and direction.
