Mitch Lightfoot

Mitch Lightfoot has worked as a Hockey Skills Instructor and Coach in the Lower Mainland since 2010.  He has demonstrated an ability to develop athletes on & off the ice as well as an connect with his players. This has lead to Mitch maintaining a strong reputation in the Hockey Community.  

Mitch started coaching as a high school volunteer at the North Vancouver Minor Hockey Association and quickly moved up the coaching ranks. In his last year as an Assistant Coach, he was awarded with the Assistant Coach of the Year Award and followed that up with Head Coach of the Year in his first year taking the lead. In 2016, Mitch was recruited by the North Shore Female Hockey Association and has acted as a Head Coach the past 4 seasons primarily for the Bantam A team. Under his leadership he has guided his teams to 3 PCAHA banners including the Playoff Championship in the 2017-2018 season & has qualified twice for the BC Provincial Championships. For the following season, Mitch has accepted an Assistant Coach position with the Pacific Steelers of the Junior Woman’s Hockey League. In addition, Mitch has managed and directed on & of ice hockey training programs designed for young athletes under LightSteel Hockey.
